Civil Service Exam: Things to Know
Aside from the general subject areas which makes up most of the content of the Civil Service Exam, both for professional and subprofessional levels, there are also staturory (pertaining to a written law), constitutional, peace and human rights, and environmental education test items.
Such staturory matters involves R.A. 6713 or an act establishing a code of conduct and ethical standards for public officials and employees. To make it short R.A. 6713 is about code of ethics. Never forget this one, for this is an endemic item to the civil service exam. This means to say you already have 1 bonus item.
Of course, aside from the title and number of the act, there are others questions that will involve the content or sections of the act. just the whole act and memorize the important terms and their definitions. There might be around five questions that would ask on the content.
As for the constitutional matters, just familiarize yourself with the terms used in the Philippine Constitution. When I took the exam, some questions about the executive, legislative and judiciary appeared. So familiarize yourself with those terms.
